Relationships with others play an integral role in our mental and emotional functioning and it is my belief that humans crave emotional connection and intimacy. Key experiences have the ability to impact current relationships in a variety of ways. When people experience significant distress it often signals that past coping strategies are no longer effective, and this is usually when they seek help. I strongly believe that individuals are capable of learning newer more effective strategies and I enjoy my role helping people brainstorm, develop, and test out these strategies.

My approach involves listening deeply to learn from the client as they are the expert on themselves. I work collaboratively with clients and encourage them to formulate personal goals that are meaningful to them. I have worked with clients across diverse age groups and backgrounds, and specialize in working with those in later adolescence and young adulthood. For the past several years I have worked in colleges and universities providing therapy and psychological and learning assessments to students.

Therapy can be an extremely rewarding exercise in self-exploration and growth. I would love to be present if you choose to embark on this journey and would work collaboratively on your personal goals.
